More running around

It was a sunny day and we took full advantage of the nice weather. Went to town early and just got back in time for lunch. Good thing I had leftovers otherwise we might have had a long wait.
This afternoon I used the vacuum which was very necessary since I had neglected it for awhile. I also did 2 more loads of laundry because I could not finish it last Monday since the weather was so bad. I don't want to use the machine during storms.
As you see we were very busy but that is not much writing material so once again this will be a short Blog.
Good night everybody ☺

A nice Spring Day

I had to take a book back to the library so we decided to make an afternoon of it. First we went to Mill Bay and then off to Duncan with a stop at Farmer's Market. When we got close to Duncan the sky started to look darker and darker. We could see the rain coming down from the clouds somewhere in the distance but we only got a few sprinkles where we were.
We got back home just in time to watch the News.
It was a nice day but not anything exciting to write about, so this will be it for tonight's Blog.
Good night everybody ☺

Thank heavens for earplugs

Cliff told me that the weather overnight was terrible. The rain on the roof woke him up and he had a hard night. I heard nothing and slept well. Like the heading says: thank heavens for ear plugs.
The same weather carried on all day long. Rain, sun, even hail and thunder. It sure was a mixed bag. I did not even finish the laundry because our washing machine has a computer and I did not want anything going wrong in case the power went out which it so often does when we have a storm. Of course both computers were turned off too and the TVs unplugged.
We finally played Mexican train dominoes again last night. We used to play that every afternoon while we were in Arizona for the winter. Last time we were there was 2005 so that's when we played it last. I had to look up the rules again because we both forgot them but now we are set to go again. I am happy to say that I won the game last night ☺ Of course I am the one that keeps track of the score but I don't cheat. ☺
About 33 years ago I got a Braun Kitchen Machine for Christmas and today Cliff had to do a quick repair job. The bowl used to get stuck when I mixed something that was a bit thicker. Last time that happened we bought a new bowl and a new gear but the shop that had the parts in Victoria closed up, so we had to make due with a washer under the bowl. Hopefully that will do the trick. I really like this machine and would hate to get used to another one. I use that for all the bread I bake.
Now off to jump on the Mexican Train.
Good night everybody ☺

A quiet Sunday

We had lots of rain today but it was a light rain which is really great for the little plants we planted yesterday. We have a cloche over them but because this rain was so light Cliff opened the cloches. Actually the weather was a bit of everything; at times the sun came out and then it disappeared again but the rain held off for awhile before it started again.
It was great for staying indoors and watching the Gold medal  Women's World Curling Championship between Scotland and Germany which Germany won. Canada won the Bronze medal game between Sweden and Canada. So now Curling fans can relax for a little while.
Before I forget I would like to thank all who congratulated us on our anniversary. Hopefully there will be many more ☺
Good night everybody ☺

Garage Sale and another nice day

Early this morning we went to a garage sale at the  end of our road. Both of us could not find anything we could not live without so we came back empty handed. It started at 8 AM and the lady told us there were people knocking at their door at 7.30 AM. I could hardly believe that.
For the first time this year I saw some skunk cabbage. There is lots of that by the side of the road and in a little while one can really smell it while walking.
DSC01972 [HDTV (720)]
After we came back I went with my friend Joyce to Dinter Nursery. I have a gift certificate there from my birthday so I decided to use some of that to buy dahlia tubers.
Dahlias
I also bought some rosemary and thyme plants as well as a flat of lettuce.. So after lunch I planted the thyme and rosemary and Cliff planted the lettuce. It was such a nice day that I decided to weed the flower bed. When I was down close to the ground I saw that many of the Lilly plants had come back. That really pleased me because last year they were very pretty. I have to wait with planting the Dahlia tubers until there is no more frost.
After weeding I called Joyce to invite her over for a bit of Happy Hour. She stayed for a bite to eat. We had a good time.
I am recording the movie "A river runs through it" with Craig Sheffer, Brad Pitt, Tom Skerritt, Brenda Blethyn, Emily Lloyd. It's a 3 1/2 star movie so hopefully it will be good. Maybe we can watch it tomorrow.
Curling last night and today was very disappointing for Canada. Our women lost last night against Germany and today against Scotland. If they are lucky they might get the silver medal if not, only the bronze. Very sad :-( Oh well, we'll get over it.
That's it for today.
Good night everybody ☺

A Sunny Anniversary

Today was our anniversary. 51 Happy (at least mostly ☺) years with Cliff.
I made us a nice dinner. Loads of fried prawns with bacon and garlic, sweet and sour rice, broccoli, cauliflower and a salad.
After that we visited our friend who is now  home from the hospital  and on the way there we stopped at Tim Hortons where I bought a dozen donuts!!!! It did not take the 3 of  us long to whittle that dozen down to 3. I have not had donuts for years and I still love them as much as before but I try to eat healthy and healthy they are not. Seems the person in front of me had a donut and a can of coke for lunch. I hope that was only a treat and not her normal fare.
On the way home we decided to take a walk to the quarry since it was nice and sunny. The wind was rather cool but still a great walk. We met 3 women who were walking 11 dogs, 2 of them on a leash but they all were very well behaved, none of them barked.
We just had a glass of wine, supper and finished the rest of the donuts so that is off my mind. Now I can get back to more normal eating. ☺
In answer to Janna's comment yesterday: The tree is an egg plum tree. They are very tasty eaten fresh but are no good canned. I love the jam I make with them very much too. It usually is the first tree in bloom. Good thing we have Orchard Mason bees to pollinate them because the honey bees are not out yet.
Good night everybody ☺

Rain

The rain already started at 3 AM last night and it rained off and on all day.
We had to go to Duncan once more this morning and after lunch I had a nice sleep. I crawled right into bed with my electric blanket because I got a bit under cooled. I don't like sleeping in the afternoon because I hate getting up again but I managed.
Later on we watched the News as usual and then had a bowl of soup for supper.
I hope tomorrow will be a nicer day.
Good night everybody ☺

A Whopper and a trip to Ladysmith

We had a full day. Got up at our normal time and after breakfast a shower, checking email and Blogs we drove to Ladysmith. It was a beautiful day for a drive. We stopped at Farmer's Market for some apples, bananas and oranges. It's nice to get there fairly early because the wait at the till is not long. Next was the stop in Ladysmith. On the way there and back we saw that the ocean was very calm but there were no boats in sight. We also stopped at Thrifty's for a 10 kg bag of flour and later on at Superstore and Country Grocer. I did not want to cook so we stopped at Burger King and had a Whopper. We do that about twice a year. I think I like a Big Mac better when it comes to Fast Food. I feel a little guilty every time I eat something like that but I'll get over it quickly ☺
When I got home I checked to see how Canada's curling team made out. Unfortunately they lost their first game to Germany. Now they have won 8 games and lost 1. Not too bad.
I will go and do something constructive now, like watching TV or something!
Good night everybody ☺

A great Tuesday

The weather was very nice again. I went with my friend to bottle some wine and shop for a few groceries and came back just in time to warm up some Chilli. We had a nice salad with that. Some days it is great to just have a quick lunch especially when I have been out in the morning.
Cliff worked in the garden cutting out most of the blackberry bushes. They are trying to take over the garden fence and make too much shade later on in the summer.
After lunch he worked on that for another hour and then we went for a walk. He figured I might be able to climb up the mountain for awhile. It was a steady climb but not too steep. I did not get to the top but I think I enjoyed it anyhow. Here are a few pictures.

Just look at the holes the woodpeckers pecked. I have never seen them so big.
DSC01959 [HDTV (720)]

and these are the woodchips that are under the tree. That must have been some bird!!

DSC01961 [HDTV (720)]

We walked around the garden when we came home and here are the lonely 3 daffodils with rhubarb on the side.
DSC01967 [HDTV (720)]

This is our Orchard Mason Bee colony. Cliff keeps making more houses because they fill them so fast. I am so glad we have them because there is hardly a honey bee around and the egg plum tree is in bloom. (See picture above)

DSC01968 [HDTV (720)]

We will now watch TV. "Frontiers of Construction" Global warming and flooding in the North Sea.
During that I will have to take quick peaks at another channel to keep track of the curling game between USA and Canada. So far Canada has won all 6 games they played. USA won 5 out of 6. I am sure this will be very interesting.

Good night everybody ☺

Laundry Day

When I woke up this morning we had breakfast and I lounged around in my housecoat because I had an appointment later at 10.30 for a mammogram.
mammogram_buttons_600
I wanted to be fresh for that ordeal and not take a shower too early. All of a sudden Cliff asked "Don't you do laundry today?" I totally forgot about that. Looks like I can only have one thought in my head ☺ I quickly gathered all dirty laundry and started it at once. Luckily I did not have too much.
After my appointment I came right back to make lunch.
Cliff went for his walk up the mountain again and took some really nice pictures.
DSC01953 [HDTV (720)]

This is a downed tree. The stick in front of it is his walking stick. From that you can see how big that old tree is. Too bad we don't have very many of that size standing.
DSC01957 [HDTV (720)]
For the first time this year I worked in the garden.
The herb bed needed weeding badly and I am happy to say that it is now weed free. It probably won't stay that way for long. The egg plum tree is in bloom and Cliff has seen some of our Orchard Mason bees flying. Hopefully they will pollinate that tree. Last year we did not have very many plums. Maybe this year!
That's it for today.
Good night everybody ☺

Nice Sunday

When we woke up this morning I was surprised to see that it was 19C in the house and 8C outside. I think that was the warmest night we had since heating season started. We only had a small fire again today. Great...that way we save on firewood.
This afternoon we spent at our friend's place. As usual we had a good time. Lots of ideas were floating around. This time we had hot dogs as a snack and great brownies. It was very yummy.
As usual the ladies had some wine and the gents a beer.
Cliff went up to Cobble Hill mountain again for his exercise. He certainly is in better shape than I am.
Now I will watch my favourite curling "Team Canada" they are up against Norway in the World Women's Curling Championship in Swift Current, Sask. So far they had 2 Draws and won both of them. Hope they keep up the record ☺
So I better say
Good night everybody ☺

First Day of Spring

We had frost in the morning but then it warmed up very nicely.  I stayed home all day doing odd jobs and relaxing a lot.
DSC01943 [HDTV (720)]
This is the last of our squash. It will give us a few meals and then we'll have to wait for the new crop this Fall. It is a good thing we both like to eat squash because we had it at least 3 times each week.
I finished my book last night but we also watched Marketplace and 5th Estate.
Looking out the window now I can see that the clouds have moved in and the weatherman is probably right, tomorrow will not be as nice as we had it for awhile.
Time to play some games.
Good night everybody ☺

A beautiful day in God's Country

It was sunny, mild and no wind. After doing lots of house cleaning for me and working in the garden for Cliff we went for a walk along the ocean by Mill Bay this afternoon. It seems everybody had the same idea and everybody looked so happy. Look at this family
 DSC01934
The kids had a ball.
The tide was out and we went along the water's edge. I am happy to say that there was no junk on the beach, it was amazingly clean. I was looking for beach glass but could not find any. I have a friend who collects the glass and makes jewellery from it. I also could not find any nice shells too bad but on the other hand nothing to clutter up my shelves ☺
I took quite a few pictures

We stopped at the Shopping Centre and the trees are out in bloom there.
DSC01942
Yesterday Cliff took a walk at the old Quarry. It's a nice area to swim.

This is the quarry the limestone  came from that was transported to the Bamberton Cement Works on the road I featured in this Blog. Before that road was built the big trucks had to use the highway which was very dangerous since quite often rocks would fall off the trucks. The kids also used the same road to walk or ride their bikes to school. Not a good thing.
I hope everybody's day was as good as mine.
Good night everybody ☺

That's more like it!!!

The weather that is. The sun was up when we awoke this morning. We only used a bit of wood in the upstairs fireplace and a bit downstairs.
Cliff told me that Spring is now surely here ☺ he heard the frogs croaking really loud last night. We also saw the swallows come around yesterday to check out the Condo situation. They usually do that each year, make an appearance and then come back about 2 weeks later. I guess they are now looking around for a good mortgage rate. We have 2 swallow houses on our garage but usually only one is occupied. We think the reason for that might be that one of them had an old rat's nest inside when we got them from a friend. Cliff cleaned that out but there might be something in the wood that the swallows don't like. The next year some yellow jackets had made a nest in there. Not good either. This year Cliff took it apart and scrubbed and painted it. Now we have to see if we can accommodate 2 swallow families. I hope so because they really clean up on the insects that like to feast on our veggies in the garden.
We went on an early shopping trip to Duncan. On the way we stopped at the Old Farm Market and bought apples, oranges and different vegetable. One type of apple we had never seen. They are called "Golden Aurora" We bought some of those to try. Are they ever nice and juicy. We'll buy some more when we get to the store again.
Cliff walked up Cobble Hill Mountain again. Wish I could go with him, but my knees don't like that at all.
Here is one of the pictures he took today.
DSC01917
While he was gone I read some more. The book I am reading is "Any Known Blood" by Lawrence Hill.
Here is what Joyce Carol Oates writes about it:
It is a remarkable achievement. Here is an immensely readable novel, populated with sympathetic yet realistic characters. It deals sensitively, yet often humorously, with one of the most compelling issues of our time in North America - the ever-shifting, ever-problematic relationship between the races. Lawrence Hill is a wonderfully talented writer, and "Any Known Blood' will be one of the talk-of novels of the year"
I am half way through and really like it.
Back to reading!
Good night everybody ☺

A not much Tuesday

I was in the house all day and other than make the beds, cook a beef goulash with mixed veggies and potatoes plus a salad, make a sandwich for supper I did not do anything constructive. I sure hope I won't get fired!!
I watched 2 more segments of "Survivor" while cooking and then  sat by the fire to read my book.
It was a very relaxing day but nothing to write about. So if I have nothing to write about, I better stop now.
Good night everybody ☺

Weather not too bad

When we got up the roads were wet and it was sprinkling. After breakfast we decided to have a quick trip to Mill Bay and at that time the rain had stopped and it got progressively better during the day. Maybe tomorrow will be again a bit of rain but after that we are in for some sunshine. We can sure use it.
Following the Blogs of the Snowbirds and Fulltimers I remember when Cliff and I first joined the folks spending the winter time in the South in 1989. We had a camper then. It had a flush toilet and sink but no shower. It was always important to find some place where we could shower. Sometimes that was hard. We met lots of nice people but it was hard to keep up with them because communication was not what it is now. No cell phones and no Internet. Quartzsite had the "Snowbird Centre" where people would leave messages and directions to where they were camped. It was a hit and miss thing. I remember the first time I saw a dish for Internet access. It was really something but that was very isolated. I made friends with the old fellow who had it and was able to get to my email.
Later on I ran into some people who had a little email device they could use at any pay phone. That intrigued me and when I saw a booth at Quartzsite Fourcorners that was selling them it did not take me long to buy it. The device was not too expensive but the yearly fee for using it was around $ 250.--. Didn't matter, I wanted it. I used pocketmail for quite a few years to keep in touch with our RV friends and home. With the advent of cell phones we could find less and less payphones. I found out that it costs the  stores  to have a pay phone at their location and with fewer people using them it was not profitable anymore and they had them taken out. Now it seems everybody had cell phones and internet access in their rigs. I would have loved that. The last time we came home from the winter in Arizona was Feb. 2005. To this day we don't have a cell phone although I have been eyeing them frequently ☺.
Those were my thoughts today.
Good night everybody ☺

A quiet Sunday

It was 2C this morning when we got up at our normal time which of course was late because of Daylight Saving time. We had our coffee/tea and then decided to take a quick walk to the bridge before breakfast. Very invigorating.
We had lunch at our normal 12 noon time slot, hungry or not it tasted good anyhow.
DSC01911
After the dishes were done I decided to do a bit of reading. Cliff worked out in the garden for awhile but then figured a walk up Cobble Hill mountain was the ticket.
DSC01913

DSC01914
I stayed home and played at the computer a bit. I downloaded 2 audiobooks from the library and transferred them to my MP3 Player. Then I read some more. I have to stop ordering books when somebody mentions a title. I have too many on hold and sometimes they come in all at once. Not good.
I hope everybody had a good time today.
Good night everybody ☺

2nd post

I keep forgetting to answer a question that Gypsy had a few days ago. The picture in the header of my Blog is of snowdrops that grow close to the fence in our garden. They are all over with now and pretty soon the daffodils will open up. Tulips will take a little longer.
☺☺

Sunny day

Much different than yesterday. The road was dry all day long. There were a few sprinkles but not enough to wet the road.

My day went like so many other days, housekeeping, cooking and playing at the computer.
I usually watch a DVD when I work in the kitchen. It takes the monotony out of everyday work. Right now I am watching the first ever Survivor. That is one I did not see. I asked for it and received it for my birthday. What a difference between that one and the one that is now showing. Those people lived "in the lap of luxury"  compared to the recent lot. Its fun to see it though. It's particularly interesting for me because it takes place on the Island of Borneo, Indonesia. The ocean is so blue and when we went sailing on the weekends we have seen sea snakes and iguanas. We were told that all snakes in Indonesia are poisonous some more so and some less. We used to give them a large berth. We also saw some Crocodiles and once a dugong. Lots of shark and barracuda too. I used to snorkel which was really something; swimming with schools of all kinds of fish. The water is very warm and when the torrential rains came down just about every afternoon we spent our time in the water which was warmer than the rain.
It has been a long time ago but I remember it fondly.
Now it's time to do something else.

Good night everybody ☺

What a day!!

When I got up this morning and opened the drapes of the bedroom window I could not believe my eyes.....
Winterwonderland in March 002
about 3 cm of snow on on everything and it was still snowing like mad and kept snowing for a long time and I could see cars and trucks sliding on the road. A terrible sight because I had a hairdresser appointment in Duncan today. Normally I schedule those for about 9 in the morning but this time mine was in the afternoon. It was really slippery and I had a feeling that I might have to cancel the appointment. As it turned out my panic was for nothing because around 10 AM the snow stopped falling and not long after the sun came out. Quite quickly the snow disappeared and when I left for Duncan after lunch the roads were bare and in spots even dry. It was a crazy weather day.
When the snow is on the road, grass and all the trees around the house the inside is much lighter due to the reflection.
According to the weatherman there will not be a repeat of the snow. I hope he is right.
Cliff went to Victoria this afternoon to pick up a saw blade for his saw. He had been trying to find one for a long time and even considered to junk the saw but luckily he found one now. He actually called the same company about half a year ago and they said they could not make one. I guess it depends on who you talk to.
It was an eventful day and now it is time to say
Good night everybody ☺

Weather Report

We had lots of rain with lots of wind overnight. It seems the wind hits most of the Bloggers that I follow these days but of course when you live in a "Stick" house it is not bad. It woke Cliff up but since I wear ear plugs I did not hear a thing. Lucky me!
We slept in this morning and after breakfast went out to the garage to measure the band saw for a new blade. Maybe we will be able to pick it up in Victoria tomorrow. That would be great because we have been looking for one for quite some time. Cliff likes to use that saw to cut up some fire wood.
When I came back inside I had just enough time to make lunch. After lunch I just played around and then we had company for the rest of the afternoon.
Tonight on the News I was surprised to hear that Tony Parsons comes back to CHEK TV for the 10 PM News. We used to watch him many years ago. Of course we'll never stay up for that time slot. By that time I have already about an hour of sleep under my belt ☺
Now I have to make some Skype calls.
Good night everybody ☺

Windy day

The sun was out quite a bit today and the temperature got up to 8 C but the wind made it feel quite cool.
Staples called a couple of days ago to let me know that my keyboard set had arrived. We went to town yesterday to pick it up. I was not feeling too good last night so opted to go to bed rather than fool around with the keyboard. This morning I installed it and I am happy to say that all the keys work ☺☺☺
That is one thing off my mind. It sure is a nice board to use.
Other than going to the mailbox twice today I helped Cliff put tarps over a shelter he had built. He wants to keep one of his 2 tractors inside. It has been in the garage all this time and he can use that space better for other tings. It sure was nice coming inside to the warmth after that.
That is all I have to report for today ☺
Good night everybody ☺

OOPS.........

Changed the picture above too early. Look what happened here today:

DSC01901

It was only -4C last night and all the roofs were covered in frost. It did not take too long before it was above freezing but then around noon the snow started. It did not last long though and later on the sun came out again for a little while.
As usual I did the laundry today. Good thing I am writing about it because it reminded me that I better take the last load out of the dryer as soon as I finish this Blog.
I received 2 more birthday cards today. It is amazing how long the mail sometimes takes these days. One of the cards was sent weeks ago and the other one just 2 days ago and I am still expecting one more that was also 2 couple of weeks ago.
The day went by quickly doing this and that, nothing much to write about. Same old, same old, so I will say
Good night everybody ☺

Oscar Night

Not for me though. I might look in for a few minutes but other than that I find it boring, it just takes too long to hold my interest.
We had an overcast day here and I was in the house all day long. I was going to wash a few windows but with the forecast of rain I put that thought on the back burner. (Good excuse ☺)
I read a book written by 2 will-lawyers. It has a lot of stories about what happens with wills and inheritances. Very interesting in most parts and funny in others.
Tonight I will watch Amazing Race and other than that I will finish the book.
Good night everybody ☺

Mill Bay Nature Park

If the weatherman is right today was the last really nice day so we took advantage of it and went for a nice walk.
Mill Bay Nature Park consists only of around 7 acres but there are lots of trails throughout  and it took us nearly an hour to walk them all. Of course I took time out to take a few pictures. I sure like my digital camera. It is just a point and shoot Cybershot Sony but that is good enough for me. When we used to overwinter in Arizona I only had a 35mm camera and it was ages before we could see the pictures. Times are sure different now. Just before we took off for our last winter in Arizona we bought a digital camera and as luck had it that was a wet winter and the desert floor was covered in beautiful flowers. I took a ton of photos and really treasure those.
Today's pictures:

What a beautiful day!!

It surely was! It did not freeze last night like 2 days before and the temperature this afternoon was 12 C. It was sunny all day long. We went to town early again. I tried to exchange my keyboard and mouse at Staples. There was no argument but unfortunately they ran out of those board sets. Staples was kind enough to phone to their other stores in Victoria and Nanaimo and I was lucky that Nanaimo had more of them. Now I have to wait a few days for a new one to arrive in Duncan. I sure hope the new one will work without any flaws. I tried out all other boards again but they keys are really noisy so I'd rather wait for Nanaimo to deliver.
We also bought 4 bags of lime. It is amazing how much moss there is all over the garden. Because the bags had been damaged and repacked they were sold for half price. Lucky us ☺
I also exchanged a hair dryer at Canadian Tire. When I brought that home I found out that the flat piece in front of it was only one-directional which I did not like. It did not show that on the picture. So now I am happy with a new one. We came home just in time for me to cook lunch.
This afternoon I had a little sleep. I normally don't do that because I am so groggy when I get up but today I needed it.
That's all for today.
Good night everybody ☺

Double darn :-(

I have tried all kinds of solutions for this keyboard but it still refuses to work properly. I uninstalled and then re-installed but to no avail so I will take it back to Staples and exchange it for another one of the same kind hoping that the next one will work properly. The mouse is working fine now.
More and more I find that new goods don't work properly. A few month ago we bought a new Monitor and just around the 3 months mark it gave up the ghost. Luckily Staples stood behind it and exchanged for a new one. That one is working fine. I hope I have not jinxed it now ☺
It was another nice day with lots of sun and the temperature got to 10C.
Cliff worked outside but I was in the house all day except for a quick walk to the mailbox.
Now I will pack up the keyboard and mouse and go back to my old set :-(
Good night everybody

Sunny and warm

Today was my birthday and It was a picture perfect day. Lots of phone calls from Family and friends. We went for Chinese Food with friends of ours. The restaurant is not far from here in a shopping centre and the food is very good. Afterwards we had cake and wine at our friend's place. It was nearly News time when we came back home.
Tzara left a comment on yesterday's Blog  about the problem with my mouse. I think she was right. I had  given Cliff my old wireless Logitech mouse and he was using it when my mouse was roaming on my computer. It was very annoying. I uninstalled all the software for my old mouse from my computer and now it looks like I am doing OK. I hope that was the problem. My wireless keyboard is not totally working OK either. There are several buttons that don't do what they are supposed to do. I am trying for a solution. I just hope I can resolve the issue  because I really like the way the board sounds. It has large keys and is so very quiet. The deal breaker might be the Tab key. It does not work and that is a key I use often. If anybody knows a solution to that I would like to hear about it.
It's been a long day and I will relax now.
Good night everybody ☺

Costco and Hospital

Our usual Tuesday visit at the hospital went very well. Our friend is improving greatly.
Before we went to see him we stopped off at Costco. I still don't know my way around there it is so big. Cliff and I have been using Skype quite a bit but only had one web cam for 2 computers :-( We rectified that problem today and bought a Logitech webcam at Costco. I love new gadgets but we just spent about an hour getting everything set up. For some reason I could not hear Cliff talking through the head set. It took quite a bit of trial and error before it worked OK. Hope it stays that way.

I am also having a bit of trouble with the new mouse. The pointer wants to roam and sometimes it is almost impossible to point to what I want to select. I tried different mouse pads and other surfaces but nothing makes a difference. Somehow I must figure that one out, but not tonight.
Right now I want to watch a program about a journey to travel the Canadian coast. Should be interesting.
Good night everybody ☺
